Residents of Brucewood Homes have access to retail and restaurants, as well as recreational amenities right in their own neighborhood. Eateries, pharmacies and childcare facilities, as well as baseball fields, running tracks, and playgrounds, are all steps away.

Brucewood’s central location provides access to multiple amenities and transportation options. The homes have direct street access to the neighboring Hynes Field Park, where sporting events and activities are frequently held. For outdoor nature enthusiasts, one can walk to both Allandale Woods and the Arnold Arboretum park system within minutes. Centre Street, in downtown West Roxbury, is only a 15-minute walk away, and is lined with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Three commuter rail stations are located less than one mile away. Situated right off of the VFW Parkway, major transportation routes, including Route 1 and Route 95, are conveniently close.

Located southwest of downtown Roxbury, West Roxbury is a neighborhood of Boston, bordered by the suburbs of Brookline, Newton and Dedham. Rapidly becoming a popular place to reside, West Roxbury provides the best of both worlds—a quiet, community-oriented neighborhood with easy access to big-city life.

Public Transportation - West Roxbury is located just 25-minutes from downtown Boston by car. The MBTA Commuter Rail has three stations in West Roxbury (Bellevue, Highland and West Roxbury). Several MBTA bus lines run through as well.

Shopping and Entertainment - Centre Street is West Roxbury’s main, commercial thoroughfare, boasting popular shops, restaurants, salons, and markets.

Schools - West Roxbury offers public, private, and religious academic institutions, such as The Roxbury Latin School and Catholic Memorial School. Additionally, there are many schools located in neighboring towns, such as the Winsor School, Boston University Academy, The Rashi School, and Buckingham Browne & Nichols School.

Attractions - Aside from its many parks and bustling downtown area, West Roxbury is also close to historical and outdoor venues. Millennium Park boasts a vast acreage of conservation land, 25 acres of sports fields, children's play areas, and a canoe/kayak launch on the Charles River. The nearby Brook Farm Historical Site provides 148 acres of conservation land to explore and unwind. The Upper Charles River Reservation is popular, with picnic areas, playgrounds, a boat ramp, and trails that wind along the Charles River for wildlife watching.

Hospitals and Veterinary Services - Longwood Medical Center facilities are five minutes away and The West Roxbury Animal Hospital is located right downtown on Centre Street.
